5.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier
Description:
The issue is related to insufficient protection of the web page structure in Adobe Experience Manager, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. Specifically, it is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that an attacker could exploit to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. When a victim accesses the page containing the vulnerable field, malicious JavaScript may be executed in their browser.
Recommendations:
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier, consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available to prevent the injection of malicious scripts. Restrict access to vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable form fields in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
