CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description: A data race issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the mod timer and kvfree call rcu functions. This issue can lead to a denial of service. The problem occurs when the kfree rcu monitor function rearms the work without holding the krcp->lock, while the kvfree call rcu function holds it, resulting in a race condition.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
