CVE-2024-52859
CVSS v2.0
5.5
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier
Description:
The issue is related to insufficient protection of the web page structure in Adobe Experience Manager, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. Specifically, it is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. When a victim accesses the page containing the vulnerable field, malicious JavaScript may be executed in their browser.
Recommendations:
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier, consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available to prevent the injection of malicious scripts. Restrict access to pages that contain fields vulnerable to Cross-Site Scripting to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable fields in API endpoints, such as
/api/v1/forms, until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
