| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier
Description:
The issue is a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be exploited by an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the victim's browser session. By manipulating a DOM element through a crafted URL or user input, the attacker can inject malicious scripts that run when the page is rendered. User interaction is required for exploitation, as a victim must visit a malicious link or input data into a vulnerable web application.
Recommendations:
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.21 and earlier, consider disabling the vulnerable DOM element manipulation functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable web application to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using crafted URLs or user input that could trigger the vulnerability. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
