CVE-2024-11708

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:C/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Firefox versions prior to 133 Thunderbird versions prior to 133
Description: The issue is related to the lack of thread synchronization primitives, which could lead to a data race on members of the PlaybackParams structure. This could potentially allow a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information. The vulnerability is associated with errors in synchronization when using a shared resource, also known as a "race condition".
Recommendations: For Firefox versions prior to 133, update to version 133 or later to resolve the issue. For Thunderbird versions prior to 133, update to version 133 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the PlaybackParams structure until a patch is available.
