VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Flex Mag - Responsive WordPress News Theme versions up to, and including, 3.5.2
Description The issue allows authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above to modify data, potentially leading to a denial of service. This is due to a missing capability check on the propanel of ajax callback() function, enabling attackers to delete arbitrary option values on the WordPress site, which can create an error and deny service to legitimate users.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.5.2, consider disabling the propanel of ajax callback() function until a patch is available to prevent unauthorized modification of data. Restrict access to the propanel to minimize the risk of exploitation.
