CVE-2025-21842

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, specifically in the amdkfd component. The issue arises from the improper freeing of gang ctx bo when initialization of the user queue fails. The amdgpu amdkfd free gtt mem function expects a void** as its second parameter but can be passed a void* due to implicit casting allowed by GCC. However, this results in errors when the function attempts to dereference the void** parameter.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
