Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description:
A bug in the Linux kernel's zswap functionality causes inconsistency when zswap store page() fails, leading to warnings. This issue arises when some base pages are zswapped but the entire folio cannot be zswapped, resulting in zswap entry free() uncharging zswap entries that were not previously charged. The inconsistency triggers two warnings, which disappear after resolving the issue. The problem is fixed by incrementing zswap stored pages and charging zswap entries within zswap store page() when it succeeds.
Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
