Description:
The issue is related to Insecure Permissions, which results in Authentication bypass. Specifically, during the reconnection phase, the device reuses the session key from a previous connection session. This behavior creates an opportunity for attackers to execute security bypass attacks.
Recommendations:
For Espressif Esp idf version 5.3.0, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting the reconnection phase to prevent the reuse of session keys until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
