CVE-2025-2164

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: pixelstats plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 0.8.2
Description: The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The post id and sortby parameters are vulnerable to this issue.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 0.8.2, consider disabling the post id and sortby parameters in the pixelstats plugin until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the post id and sortby parameters in affected pages until the issue is resolved.
