CVE-2025-2262

CVSS v3.1

7.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Logo Slider – Logo Showcase, Logo Carousel, Logo Gallery and Client Logo Presentation plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.7.3
Description The issue is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do shortcode. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes. The problem is related to missing authorization, specifically CWE-862 Missing Authorization.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.7.3, update to a version later than 3.7.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the execution of shortcodes from untrusted sources until a patch is available. Restrict access to the shortcode-builder module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the do shortcode function with unvalidated input until the issue is resolved.
