Description The nimsh service SSL/TLS protection mechanisms in IBM AIX could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands due to improper process controls.

Recommendations For IBM AIX versions 7.2 through 7.3, consider disabling the nimsh service until a patch is available to prevent remote attackers from executing arbitrary commands. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the nimsh service to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
