Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in Substance3D - Designer that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. To exploit this problem, user interaction is necessary, as the victim must open a malicious file. This vulnerability is associated with a buffer overflow in memory, which can be exploited by an attacker using a specially crafted malicious file, allowing them to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Substance3D - Designer versions 14.0 and earlier, update to a version later than 14.0 to resolve the issue.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
