CVE-2025-1770

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Eventin plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.0.24
Description The Eventin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion via the style parameter. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, enabling the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 4.0.24, consider disabling the style parameter to prevent exploitation until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive files and directories to minimize the risk of arbitrary file inclusion. Avoid using the style parameter in API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
