CVE-2025-0189

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions aimhubio/aim version 3.25.0
Description The tracking server in aimhubio/aim is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. This occurs because the server overrides the maximum size for websocket messages, allowing very large images to be tracked. As a result, the server becomes unresponsive to other requests while processing the large image, leading to a denial of service condition.
Recommendations For version 3.25.0, consider restricting the size of websocket messages to prevent the server from becoming unresponsive. As a temporary workaround, limit the tracking of large images until a patch is available.
