CVE-2025-1490

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Smart Maintenance Mode plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.5.2
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. This can be achieved by tricking a user into performing an action, such as clicking on a link, via the setstatus parameter.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.5.2, consider disabling the setstatus parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the Smart Maintenance Mode plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the setstatus parameter in affected pages until the issue is resolved.
