CVE-2025-1437

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Advanced iFrame plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 2024.5
Description The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the advanced iframe shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to and including 2024.5, consider disabling the advanced iframe shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the advanced iframe shortcode to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection.
