CVE-2025-1439

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Advanced iFrame plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2024.5
Description The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes through the src attribute in the advanced iframe shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2024.5, consider disabling the advanced iframe shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the shortcode's src attribute to minimize the risk of arbitrary script injection. Avoid using the src attribute in the advanced iframe shortcode until the issue is resolved.
