Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A buffer overflow issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the
mgmt mesh add() function. The issue arises from the mesh tx->param array being too small to hold the data being copied into it, with a size of 48 versus the required 50. This discrepancy occurs because the check in the mesh send function only rejects lengths greater than 50, potentially allowing for a buffer overflow.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
