Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the nvmem core. The issue occurs when dev set name() fails, causing a leak of nvmem->wp gpio due to insufficient cleanup. The fix involves splitting device register() and utilizing the nvmem release() cleanup code by initializing the device early and putting the device. This results in clearer code.
