CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A crash can occur in the Linux kernel during cgroup migration due to linked list corruption in the mm struct->lru gen.list. This happens when lru gen migrate mm() is called before lru gen add mm(), which is not the expected order. The issue arises from a specific scenario involving clone(), cgroup can fork(), cgroup procs write(), cgroup post fork(), task lock(), and lru gen migrate mm() calls across multiple CPUs.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
