VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the drm/i915 component. The issue concerned broken reference counting around the request object when GuC support was added to error capture. This affected the context-based search and the code for dumping engine state to debugfs. The problem was fixed by updating the reference counting internally and externally, depending on the submission model. Additionally, potential null pointer dereferences and leaked requests were addressed.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
