Description A null pointer dereference issue has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the trace events hist component. The create hist field function, which is called recursively, can return a NULL value. To prevent this issue, a check for the return value of create hist field has been added. This issue was discovered by the Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) using SVACE.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
