CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A buffer overflow issue was detected in the Linux kernel, specifically in the bnxt module, where test names were being concatenated beyond the end of the first name. This issue was resolved by refactoring the struct hwrm selftest qlist output to use an actual array and adjusting the concatenation to use snprintf() instead of strncat() calls.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
