Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel where the addr parameter in the mdiobus get phy() function is not properly validated. This can lead to an out-of-bounds access to the mdio map array. For instance, the stmmac init phy() function may pass -1 as the addr value. As a result, validation of the addr parameter is necessary before using it.
