Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Avada (Fusion) Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.11.14
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via several of the plugin's shortcodes due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For Avada (Fusion) Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.11.14, update to a version higher than 3.11.14 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the shortcodes that allow user-supplied attributes to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
XSS
