Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A potential use-after-free (UAF) error was identified in the
driver override show() function, part of the DEVICE ATTR RW in the Linux kernel. This function can be executed concurrently with driver override store() in sysfs, which may lead to accessing a freed pointer if driver override store() frees the string concurrently. This could result in printing a kernel address, posing a security risk as DEVICE ATTR can be read by all users.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
