CVE-2025-21953

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to the fixed version
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue occurs when hibernation is triggered on a MANA VM, and a failure happens during the resume process, causing a pointer to point to an already cleaned-up dentry. This leads to a kernel NULL pointer dereference. The vulnerability is related to the mana gd suspend() and mana gd resume() functions, and the mana port debugfs pointer.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions prior to the fixed version, consider disabling the hibernation feature to prevent exploitation of this issue until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
