Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved. The issue was related to the
nf conncount module, where the struct nf conncount tuple was not fully initialized in the insert tree() function. This could lead to undefined behavior. The vulnerability was introduced in a commit that added cpu and jiffies32 to the struct, but the initialization was not properly updated in the count tree() function, which was later split and the relevant allocation code now resides in insert tree(). The estimated number of potentially affected devices worldwide is not available. There is no information about real-world incidents where this issue was exploited.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
