Description The issue is related to an integer overflow in the Linux kernel when processing the closetimeo mount option. This occurs because the user-provided closetimeo parameter, which is of type u32, is converted from seconds to jiffies before validation, leading to a potential integer overflow. The Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE discovered this issue.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
