CVE-2025-2874

CVSS v3.1

4.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions User Submitted Posts – Enable Users to Submit Posts from the Front End plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 20240319
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The issue only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered html has been disabled.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 20240319, update to a version later than 20240319 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to admin settings to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict the use of the unfiltered html capability to trusted users to reduce the attack surface.
