CVE-2025-2299

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions LuckyWP Table of Contents plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.1.10
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajaxEdit function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing a specific action, such as clicking on a link. There is also a mention of a Cross-site Scripting flaw, but the primary concern is the lack of proper validation, enabling attackers to manipulate site administrators into executing unintended actions.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.1.10, consider disabling the ajaxEdit function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to administrative areas to minimize the risk of an attacker tricking a site administrator into performing malicious actions. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
