CVSS v3.1
7.2
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Booster for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress versions 4.0.1 through 7.2.4
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via SVG file uploads, which is possible due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses the SVG file.
Recommendations
For versions 4.0.1 through 7.2.4, update to a version that includes proper input sanitization and output escaping to prevent Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to SVG file uploads until a patch is available.
Fix
Unrestricted File Upload
