CVE-2025-2797

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Woffice Core plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 5.4.21
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the woffice handle user approval actions function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to approve registration for any user via a forged request. This can be achieved if the attackers can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to and including 5.4.21, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the woffice handle user approval actions function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the function in a way that could be exploited by an attacker until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
