CVE-2024-13909

CVSS v3.1

4.9

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Accredible Certificates & Open Badges plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.4.9
Description: The issue is related to time-based SQL Injection via the orderby parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This allows authenticated attackers with Administrator-level access and above to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations: For versions up to, and including, 1.4.9, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the orderby parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.

Fix

SQL injection
