VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WP User Profile Avatar plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0.5
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the wpupa user admin() function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update the plugin's setting that controls access to the functionality via a forged request. This can be achieved if attackers can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For WP User Profile Avatar plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0.5, consider disabling the wpupa user admin() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of unauthorized updates.
