VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Eventer plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.9.8
Description The issue concerns a SQL injection vulnerability via the event parameter in the eventer get attendees function. This vulnerability is due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and a lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can append additional SQL queries to existing ones, potentially extracting sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.9.8, update to a version higher than 3.9.8 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the eventer get attendees function until a patch is available. Avoid using the event parameter in the affected function until the issue is resolved.
