CVE-2024-11386

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions GatorMail SmartForms plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.0
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in the GatorMail SmartForms plugin for WordPress. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'gatormailsmartform' shortcode. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above can inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.1.0, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'gatormailsmartform' shortcode to prevent authenticated attackers from injecting arbitrary web scripts.
