Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Contact Form by Supsystic plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 1.7.29
Description
The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
saveAsCopy function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update settings and inject malicious web scripts via a forged request. This can be achieved by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to and including 1.7.29, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
saveAsCopy function.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the saveAsCopy function until a patch is available.Fix
