Description
A critical vulnerability has been found in the TOTOLINK A3700R, affecting the function
setWiFiEasyCfg/setWiFiEasyGuestCfg of the file /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi in the Password Handler component. This issue leads to improper access controls and can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted about this disclosure but did not respond.Recommendations
For TOTOLINK A3700R version 9.1.2u.5822 B20200513, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
setWiFiEasyCfg and setWiFiEasyGuestCfg functions until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi file to minimize the risk of exploitation.
