CVE-2025-22038

CVSS v3.1

7.1

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been identified, specifically in the ksmbd component. The issue arises when accessing psid->sub auth[psid->num subauth - 1] without checking if num subauth is non-zero, leading to an out-of-bounds read. This occurs because the code does not validate if num subauth is zero before accessing sub auth. A patch has been added to validate that num subauth is not equal to zero before sub auth is accessed.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
