VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A race condition exists between session setup and ksmdb sessions deregister in the Linux kernel, specifically in the ksmbd component. This condition can lead to a session being freed before its connection is added to the channel list of the session, resulting in a use-after-free issue. The patch for this issue checks the reference count of the session before freeing it to prevent this problem.
