Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, related to the function
flush tlb range() when used for zapping normal PMD entries. The issue is associated with the collapse pte mapped thp path, which calls pmdp collapse flush and then flush tlb range. The X86 version of flush tlb range() has been fixed to behave like the arm64 version, which does not use last-level invalidation optimizations for page table removal. The impact of this issue is considered limited, as it is currently only used for checking lazy TLB CPUs and Hyper-V TLB paravirtualization.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
