CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, specifically an out-of-bounds array access in the cdns mrvl xspi setup clock() function. This issue occurs when requested clk is greater than 128, causing the function to iterate over the entire cdns mrvl xspi clk div list array without breaking out early, resulting in an out-of-bounds access. The fix involves stopping the loop when it reaches the last entry and clamping the clock to the minimum 6.25 MHz. This issue was identified with an UBSAN kernel, which produced a warning.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
