Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been identified, related to the ocfs2 file system. The issue arises from the l tree depth field, which is 16-bit but has a maximum depth limited to OCFS2 MAX PATH DEPTH. This can lead to out-of-bounds access if l tree depth has an invalid value, potentially occurring when reading from a corrupted mounted disk.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
