VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability in the Linux kernel has been resolved, specifically in the drm/msm/gem component. The issue involves the SUBMIT ERROR() macro turning an error code negative, which is then converted back to positive. This process leads to an error when the code is passed to ERR PTR(), resulting in an oops due to positive values not being recognized as an error by IS ERR(). The fix involves deleting the extra '-' operation.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
