Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Email Subscribers by Icegram Express versions prior to 5.7.45
Description
The issue concerns the Email Subscribers by Icegram Express WordPress plugin, where versions prior to 5.7.45 do not properly sanitize and escape some of its Text Block options. This could allow high-privilege users, such as administrators, to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, even when the unfiltered html capability is disallowed, for example, in multisite setups.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 5.7.45, update to version 5.7.45 or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Text Block options until a patch is available.
Avoid using the vulnerable Text Block options in the affected plugin until the issue is resolved.
