CVE-2025-22124

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A bug in the Linux kernel has been resolved, specifically in the md/md-bitmap component. The issue occurred in clustermd when writing the superblock, where separate write-intent-bitmaps are used for each cluster node. The calculation of bitmap limit was incorrect, causing the first 4k superblock area of a node to never be updated through filemap write page(), leading to a hang in mdadm/clustermd tests/01r1 Grow resize. The fix involves using the correct calculation for bitmap limit.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
