Description The issue is related to stored cross-site scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the sell media search form gutenberg shortcode. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Recommendations For versions up to and including 2.5.8.5, update to a version higher than 2.5.8.5 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the sell media search form gutenberg shortcode until a patch is available. Restrict contributor-level access and above to minimize the risk of exploitation.
