Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
3D Flipbook—DearFlip plugin for WordPress versions up to 2.3.52
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via outline settings due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied data. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to 2.3.52, update to a version higher than 2.3.52 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the outline settings feature to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict permissions to prevent contributors and above from injecting malicious scripts.
Fix
XSS
